Shallow Madrone Salad Bowl

This is a light Madrone with slight heart wood, dark patches on the rim.  It was turned during the “Artist in Action” exhibit at the Anacortes Arts Fair in August 2008.     This is light in weight as well as color, and very stable - a practical and functional shallow bowl.   It is finished with Dalys Profin Oil and is food safe.

Approximately 11″ in diameter & 3″ deep

20″ Oak Salad Bowl

20

This is a very large, shallow, highly colored Mendocino, California Oak.   A rare opportunity for me to turn Oak.    Very functional as a salad, fruit or display bowl.    Finished with Min Wax wipe on polyurethane and is food safe.   This was turned green and the natural drying has induced great character improvments with a wavey rim and out of roundness.

Approximately 20″ in diameter & 4.5″ deep

Huge Oak Salad Bowl

Very large, huge! natural edge, highly figured crotch.   Almost heart shaped, with flame figuring across the base and surface wrickles make this a unique bowl .   This tree was blown over while visiting Mendicino, California.  A rare opportunity for me to turn green Oak.  Very functional as a salad bowl,  fruit bowl or display.    Finished with Min Wax wipe on polyurethane – food safe.

Approximately 22″ diameter & 7.5″ deep
